WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

When filing your nomination, make sure that you tell the judges:

1. What the business case was for the initiative and specifically what improvements you set out to make;

2. How you engaged senior management and the workforce in your initiative;

3. What evidence can you show of tangible improvements in the business as a result of your initiative.

Most importantly, the winning entries will demonstrate a clear link between the overall business strategy and the initiative.

"The team and I were honored to have been awarded the HR/L&D Team of the year at this year’s CIPD recognition awards. 2018 was full of personal and team changes for all, so to have this formally recognised at the inaugural CIPD conference made me feel especially proud! Fueled by a drive and passion to reimagine and redesign the learning experience for our employees, we were able to build meaningful partnerships across all of our business units, enabling us to understand the core people development requirements in line with our over-arching organizational strategy. As a result of team passion and unity, mixed with a real eagerness to learn, 90% of team members successfully attained Associate CIPD status, which has really helped them to develop their professional competence and capability to disrupt traditional training practices and deliver innovative award-winning L&D solutions. In summary, I’ve seen a tremendous transformation of the team, moving from conventional technical product trainers to fully-fledged, high-performing L&D professionals!

Individually, the team has adapted, developed, learnt and delivered, and collectively, they’ve moved mountains in 2018.
